Research on the protein gp41 could help towards designing future vaccinations against HIV

Researchers from the University of Granada have discovered, for the first time, an allosteric interaction between this protein, which forms part of the sheath of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus and the antibody 2F5 , a potent virus neutralizer.
