Intimate partner violence associated with subsequent HIV infection in Uganda

Ugandan women who have been subject to violence from a sexual partner are more likely than other women to go on to acquire HIV, according to a large, longitudinal study from the Rakai cohort, published in the May 15 issue of AIDS.
