EACS 2013: HIV Rebound Linked to Higher Baseline Level, Slower Suppression, Low-level Viremia

Higher baseline viral load, longer time to viral suppression, and low-level viremia below the level of detection of standard tests raise the risk of viral rebound among people with HIV on antiretroviral therapy , according to a pair of studies presented at the 14thEuropean AIDS Conference this month in Brussels.
